There are hundreds of different fabric types and each one reacts differently during cleaning. On top of that, there are hundreds of different types of stains you might have on your clothes – the combination of all those fabrics and all those stains means there are tens of thousands of combinations of fabrics and stains.

At Drive Cleaning, we use two different methods to clean clothes, GreenEarth Dry Cleaning and Professional Wet Cleaning, and we use our vast amount of experience and knowledge to ensure that we’re cleaning your cherished garments in the right method each and every time.

Green Earth Cleaning

What is GreenEarth? First, you have to understand what it’s not. You see, most cleaners in the United States still use harmful petro-chemicals such as Perc or Hydrocarbon.

Petro-chemicals like these have some serious drawbacks. Chiefly, the EPA recognizes Perc as a “likely carcinogen”. This petro-chemical can be harmful to the environment, as both an air and groundwater pollutant if not handled properly. California and New Jersey banned Perc for that exact reason. Illinois State legislators discussed a ban as well.

Furthermore, Perc chemicals are harsh on your clothes. Damaged and shrinked clothes, especially to delicate items, such as beads and sequins, occur frequently with Perc.

Unfortunately, getting these chemicals out of your life can be harder than you would think… according the the Illinois Environmental Trust Fund, an astounding 99.3% of cleaners in Illinois use petroleum based cleaning products!
